Richard R. Broome, {American 1946- ) Professional Independent American Artist
specializing in historically accurate aviation and space art. Accepted first
aviation art commissions in 1962. Self-taught Flemish style fine art painter.
Has created over 2700 original paintings. (Most privately commissioned)
Originals and Starlite derivative reproductions in individual and corporate
collections worldwide. Has published over 300 various format and lithographic
print editions; many in limited edition format with a large number sold out. Has
produced over 78 special commissioned magazine covers, illustrations, and
published inexpensive reproductions as gift items. Beginning in 1974 Contributed
62 original paintings to the Air Force Academy fine art collection; Inducted
into Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame in 1988.
All original and derivative art products including the artist's original
trademarks of style; trademarks of lighting "Starlite" painting techniques and
methods; original ideas; concepts; sketches; writings; and personal comments and
all things created by Rick Broome Productions are protected by United States
Federal Copyright and International and Universal Copyright Laws. No person,
group, organization, Alien, and/or otherwise identified is authorized to copy,
duplicate, recreate, reproduce, replace, restore, repair, alter, change, or in
anyway work on, modify, attempt to copy, modify, duplicate, recreate, reproduce
or reverse engineer any original or derivative and reproduced art without
written permission from the artist, studio, and heirs. This includes ideas
and concepts in the pioneered creation of the United States Air Force Academy
Official Class Print. Including and not limiting the ideas and trademarked
style of the Class Print which includes; hidden vignettes, names, dates, and all
other intellectual and TRADE DRESS styles unique to the Official Class Print
Originally created and developed by Rick Broome dating back to 1974. Any
person, group, organization, Alien, and/or otherwise identified in violation of
the above will be prosecuted to the full extent of current copyright laws.
REPLACEMENT VALUES for studio original paintings and reproductions are based on
current studio fees in effect at time of quotation. Current (2008-2009) Art
Studio charges for production or consulting is $375.00 per hour. Current Studio
flat rate production crew time is $225.00 per hour. Certified replacement value
statement fees: $125.00 per quotation.
All art processes involved in creating Rick Broome's fine art paintings and
reproductions and unique lighting techniques are proprietary. Reproductions of
the original art will not show all of the colors and techniques of the
masterpiece original work. Publication and derivative works of the artist appear
in limited edition; open edition; signed and numbered editions; autographed
editions as well as published original and printed signatures. The change in
appearance of the original painting is strongly evident when viewed under
ultra-violet (blacklight blue) fluorescent frequency (peak at 356-367
nannometers) in reduced room lighting. Under these conditions the original scene
transforms into a nocturnal scene.
